With so many new people visiting Jellystone Park™ this year, and folks camping for the first time ever, we thought we’d answer some common questions! So if you’re a camping novice or long time Jellystone Park™ enthusiast, we’ve got answers!
Why should I take my family camping rather than buy a day pass?
Staying at Jellystone Park™ opens up a whole new set of activities that go beyond what a day at the water park can provide! Join us for our daily activities like candy bar bingo or try your hand at our favorite arts and crafts. Don’t forget your basketball or volleyball to play a round on our sports courts. Once you factor in the cost of a day pass into your nightly rate, you’ll see that camping is the best bang for your buck! Plus, what’s better than having a place to crash like a cabin or your RV site after a busy day playing in the water?
Is the water park included in my stay?
Absolutely! Every guest on your reservation will receive a wristband, which is your ticket to all of our fun attractions throughout the entirety of your stay! Zip down our water slides, jump to your hearts desire on our jumping pillow, or don’t forget to stop by our mini-golf as well, there’s no additional fee to play. You’ll also get to stay and play the same day you check-out, so make sure to get one last day of fun in before you say goodbye!
What should I take with me?
If you’re staying in one of our cabins, make sure to pack bed sheets and bathroom linens (or rent them for an additional cost). You’ll also get to enjoy your own fire pit, so pack up your grilling tools, favorite cookout ingredients, and don’t forget to bring a cooler with ice! You can also stock-up on ice and other essentials at our Ranger Station!
Other items to bring:
-Card & board games
-Umbrellas in case it rains
-Bug spray & sunscreen
-Marshmallow roasters & s’more ingredients
Which season is best for camping?
Our most popular time of the year is summer when our water park is open. Spring camping is great for families who want to reconnect with nature and enjoy a quieter, less crowded park! During the fall, we have lots of fun themed weekend plans with activities like trick-or-treating or holiday themed contests! Tried and true campers know that there is something truly special about fall camping and watching the seasons change, plus you can take advantage of our non-peak deals!
What is there to do in the area?
While we’ve got tons of fun inside the park, there’s also a lot to explore in the area! Hop over to the John Fairey Garden to see some nearby beauty or take a drive to the showboat drive in theater! See all of our nearby attractions on our Places to Go page!
Still have questions? Our team is happy to help and eager to welcome you to Jellystone Park™! Simply give us a call, shoot us an email, or send us a message on Facebook or Instagram. If you’re ready to book, you can find your spot today!
