Memorial Park: Beginner to Expert - 11 Miles
Memorial Park is one of the very well known parks for hiking in Houston - it's the home to 19 hiking/bike trails! Only 30 minutes from our Camp-Resort, visitors are able to choose to hike just one short trail, or combine many of them to create a more challenging route. These trails also vary in difficulty level, so make sure to check out their website and make a plan of what trails you want to do!

Hermann Park: Beginner - 2 Miles
Hermann Park is a great place to come and stretch your legs. Joggers love following the 2-mile Marvin Taylor Trail under the shade of the Park's historic live oaks. This is an easy 2 mile trail that goes around the park and is great for beginners. If you are looking for something different, there are also pedal boats, a railroad, picnic areas, and more. This beautiful park is located in downtown Houston, and is an hour away from our Camp-Resort!

Buffalo Bayou Park: Beginner - Distance Varies
Buffalo Bayou Park is a 160-acre greenspace that lies just west of downtown Houston. The park includes beautiful gardens and native landscaping, hike and bike trails, paddle craft and bike rentals, the go-to dog park in the city, public art, a creative nature play area, two visitor centers, and gathering places for visitors to picnic, relax and enjoy outdoor activities. So, if you are looking for some easy hiking in Houston with a side of fun, this trail is only 50 minutes away from our Camp-Resort!

Seymour Lieberman Exercise Trail: Beginner - 3 Miles
Seymour Lieberman Exercise Trail is a 3 mile trail that runs along a beautiful golf course, and is perfect for walking or jogging. Only 50 minutes away from our Camp-Resort, this gravel trail has many benches along the way and takes about one hour to complete.

Bear Creek Pioneers Park: Intermediate - 8 Miles
As a hiking trail near Houston and 45 minutes from our Camp-Resort, we must mention the Bear Creek Pioneers Park! This park is the home to 3 great trails, biking trails, running trails, and more! Choose from an easy trail with almost no elevation, or a more challenging one with up 16 meters in elevation.

Terry Hershey Park: Intermediate - 11 Miles
Terry Hershey Park has a great variety of trails to try. With a grand total of 6 trails with different difficulties and distances, visitors are able to choose the path that suits them best! Located only 45 minutes away from our Camp-Resort, this Houston trail is the perfect spot for you and your family to try!

West White Oak Bayou Trail: Intermediate - 17 Miles
The West White Oak Bayou Trail is an asphalt and concrete trail perfect for walking, skating, and biking. It's a long, satisfying, nearly seamless ride, broken by a few road crossings. It is located in downtown Houston and is perfect to explore the beautiful city. Plus, it's only 45 minutes away from our Camp-Resort!

Little Cypress Creek Preserve: Beginner - 2 Miles
On the outer rims of Houston, and only 30 minutes from our Camp-Resort, is the wonderful Little Cypress Creek Preserve. This natural area is the home to an interactive 1 mile trail, and a .7 mile non-interactive trail. These trails are great for beginners and short enough so you can enjoy many other activities such as wildlife viewing, bat boxes, bird blinds, and more!

Kleb Woods Nature Preserve Center: Beginner - 3.17 Miles
Located 30 minutes away from our Camp-Resort, Kleb Woods Nature Preserve Center features more than 3 miles of paved and natural trails through 133 acres of pine forests, wetlands, and a remnant prairie. The park is also a popular birding destination featuring sparrows, wrens, blackbirds, mockingbirds, thrushes, robins, and waxwings.
